Houston Astros: The Astros Will Make The playoffs and the AL Wild Card

ALCS: Astros on Verge of Eliminating Yankees

We may not have seen the last of the Astros before the All-Star break. Here are the potential implications for their season:

I’ve been making the following general comments about Houston for the last five years. But they’re so familiar I’m afraid to jinx it: The Astros (and everyone else in the AL West) will take the division again this year (and probably win the division). The AL West will have a very difficult second half. The Rockies will be a very good team this year. The Orioles will be a very good team this year. The Rays will be better than normal. The Orioles and Royals will probably be worse than normal. You can make it seem as if no Astros team will make the playoffs, but the truth is the Astros will make the playoffs and the AL Wild Card. (I’m not worried about the Royals, though because they’re a mediocre team anyway.)

The Astros will make the playoffs and the AL Wild Card. (I’m not worried about the Royals, though because they’re a mediocre team anyway.) The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series). The Rockies will win the Central. The Astros will make the playoffs and the AL Wild Card. The Astros will make the playoffs and the AL Wild Card. The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series). The Royals will make the playoffs. The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series). The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series). The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series). The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series). The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series). The Astros will make the playoff (and win the World Series). The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series). The Astros will make the playoffs (and win the World Series).
