LONG BEACH — Long Beach Police detectives arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbings outside a Long Beach bar that happened around 1 a.m. Saturday night, according to the police department and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The three victims were shot while two men and a woman walked in an alley off Third Street and Long Beach Boulevard shortly before 2 a.m., according to police.

The man they identified Sunday morning as the assailant, identified as 35-year-old Jason Alvarado, died from his injuries at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. The other people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are searching for two possible accomplices in the shooting, who police said were likely wearing ski masks, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Long Beach police arrested Alvarado on a charge of first-degree murder and have booked him in Long Beach County Jail in lieu of $2 million from the District Attorney’s office, according to the Times.

The man is now listed as a man of interest in the investigation. Authorities did not immediately name the women or two men who sustained minor injuries.
