Faith Evans joins the prayer movement

The YouTube prayer channel started during Covid that’s causing a stir in the world of Christian videos and has been called a “religious and spiritual war” by some.

Hip hop and Christian music star Faith Evans, who is a regular YouTube feature in the prayer channel, joined the movement and is leading a virtual round of prayer in a video called ‘This is how I pray when the virus comes to my house’.

The rapper says: “I’ve been doing this on my YouTube channel for the last week, and it’s been really good actually. It’s a Christian version of hip hop because it’s all in the name of God.

“I’m saying the words while on the toilet, on bed, standing outside of my home. Sometimes I try to pray while I’m going to a restaurant, or while I’m in a busy airport, or while I’m on a bus, just to get my mind into God’s presence.

“I’ve prayed on my iPhone while I’m on the toilet. I’ve prayed using the earpiece on my phone. I’ve prayed on my PlayStation. I’ve been doing it even when I’m doing the dishes.”

Evans, who is of mixed faith, said she has “definitely” been able to pray with the ‘Spiral of Love’, a prayer that encourages people to “reach out” to people from all faiths, ethnicities and races.

Evans said: “They have prayers that are about making a difference in peoples’ lives, in peoples’ destinies and in people’s relationships. They have prayers that are about the unity of humanity.

“They have prayers that are about unity in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. They have prayers about world peace.
